So, honest question.

If the risk of Iran getting a nuclear bomb is that dire, why isn't Israel still fighting to stop the development ? why did Israel stop attacking before the job was finished?

I have to think that if Iran was that close, then logically Israel would still be trying to stop the development, right?

There are many aspects of this conflict that don't make sense to me.

I read few weeks ago that our air force has about 50 % of its force grounded because of maintenance and lack of parts . We also have a limited supply of bombs. We are dependent on China for some components . Any nation needs reserves in case of being attacked .. If parts are in short supply here then we are not shipping them over there in any great quantity . Also it is a major undertaking for Israel to send bombers logistically.

That's a lot more difficult if you drop the mountain on top of it.

Well, the ants are already back in the hill, so yeah, make it more difficult for them. These are the same people that took trash bins full of shredded documents from our embassy and reconstructed them. Digging up radioactive junk with the possibility of making a nuke is nothing to them.

A lot of that probably has some level of accuracy, but if Israel is looking at what they view as a genuine not hyperbole, existential threat, wouldn't they be acting like it and treating it that way?

They seem really happy to kick a hornets nest and then just disappear while we are now stuck in a mess.

What is and isn't real, we the people can only guess.
This will end up as a, we drop a couple of big bombs on them every now and then to keep the ion cake under rubble. Hope the people make the change; only we can't do the " change" in our own country due to the police state we live in.
If you (anyone) haven't noticed the rest of the world is still running on a form of Feudalism, only with better PR.
The U.S. is heading back as well, long gone is the real freedoms this country was founded on. Mostly due to the usurper class (politicians, judges, lawyers, etc) as shown by how one back water judge can stop the country from moving forward in protecting its very life (secured voting).

The suspicion is that they removed most of it before the centrifuges were hit.

Which would be the wise course of action if they knew the attack was coming.

So their ability to enrich was destroyed, but a few thousand pounds of the good stuff was probably smuggled out first.

At 60% it's not good enough to make a bomb, but it's also very close if they ever rebuild a centrifuge hall.

So what we thing is that stuff is stored at pickaxe. They can't do anything with it, but they won't give it up either.

Burying it at pickaxe wouldn't be helpful, because digging it back up would be way easier than building the centrifuges you need to finish it.

I doubt highly the mideast is on our side. And as we all know that NATO gave us the middle finger along with recently the U.N. When you disrupt the lifeblood (Oil) of other nations economies your support has tanked. Trump hasn't even won over the US with this mess. People are pissed right off! You shall see come Midterms that is if he does'nt declare Martial law. How do you know we have support of the Middle east? What is telling you that?

Isreal has had nukes for many decades. The rest of the Middle East has learned they can be trusted them with theirs.

Iran OTOH is expected to actually use theirs if they get them.

Attempted to hold a major part of the world's oil hostage.

Executed tens of thousands of their own citizens for protesting.

.... Lebanon Embassy, trained/ facilitated every IED/ VBIED in OEF/OIF, attempted attacks on NYC/ POTUS, run/ facilitated Hamas/ Hutis/ Hezbola and every action they have taken. This model leads me to think not just of the Big Bomb, but the left over stuff which would facilitate dirty bombs in smaller packages which they have shown they are really good at being given to their proxies which they have shown to be overly willing to help and support.

Our ADD is painful.
